可以防护抵御蚋吗？不可以，对于大多数普通蚊子或昆虫，每平方英寸500个孔（80孔/cm²）的精细网孔是足够起防护作用。但是对于在蚋、沙蝇和蠓常见的纬度地区使用，需要至少每平方英寸有2000个孔（310个孔/cm²）的网孔，因此防蚋专用的护头网，透气性也相对降低。
